What began as a dream has grown into a journey built on passion, determination, and a love for making people feel beautiful.
Our founder, Nubia Duron, began her career as a hairstylist in a small salon in 2008. As her experience, skills, and clientele grew, she eventually transitioned into a small salon suite in Las Colinas. With increasing demand and a growing vision, Nubia expanded into a larger space and welcomed her first employees.
It wasn't long before that space became too small for the growing team and their dreams. In 2016, Nubia opened her first full-service hair salon, Gold Glam Bar, followed by its sister business, Pink Mango Nail Lounge.
In 2019, Nubia made the decision to bring both businesses together under one roof, creating Pink Mango Salon .. a welcoming space where guests could enjoy a variety of beauty services in one place.
Over the years, Pink Mango became more than just a salon. It grew into a family-owned business built on meaningful connections, talented independent beauty professionals, great customer service, quality products, and a shared commitment to cleanliness and professionalism. It became a place where music played, friendships grew, and guests were welcomed like family.
And now, a new chapter begins.
Today, we are proud to introduce Chica & Co., our next step forward. With a new name, a new location in Lewisville, Texas, and the same heart that started it all, we look forward to continuing to grow, welcome new faces, and create lasting connections within our community.
While our name and surroundings may change, the values that brought us here remain the same: passion, quality, community, and making every guest feel beautiful, confident, and at home.
